QUESTIONS?

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We suggest you dress comfortably.  Paint classes are roughly 2 1/2-3 hours.  Although we provide aprons to protect your clothes, acrylic paints don't come out of fabric and accidents do happen.

DOES SOUTHERN PALETTE PROVIDE WINE OR FOOD?

No.  We cannot provide alcohol to our customers, however, you are welcome to bring whatever snacks and drinks you like.  Please drink responsibly.  Minors will not be allowed to consume alcohol under any circumstances.  We reserve the right to proof anyone consuming alcohol.

DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO PAINT THE SAME THING?

No, each person can choose the painting or project that they want to.  Unlike other wine and paints, we have the ability to offer our customers the flexibility to choose what they like.  So go ahead and browse the gallery, pick any painting level 1-3.  We reserve the right to limit groups over twenty to a choice of two different paintings (your choice).

DO I HAVE TO DRAW THE DESIGN ON MY CANVAS MYSELF?

No, all canvases and wood pallets will be sketched for you ahead of time.

WILL SOMEONE HELP ME IF I'M STRUGGLING WITH MY PAINTING?

You will receive one to one guidance throughout your time with us.  Don't worry, we've got you!  But you have to speak up.  If you're quiet, we assume you're doing okay.  We'll give you as much or as little help as you want or need, but speak up!

WHAT IF I DON'T FINISH?

Paintings are designed for the three hour class, however some people may not finish.  That's okay, we don't want you to rush.  If you are unable to finish your painting, you are welcome to join any other class to finish.  There is no extra fee for this.  However, if you choose to stay past your class time, additional charges may be assessed.

DO I TAKE MY PAINTING HOME THAT NIGHT?

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED TO BRING?

SHOULD I COME EARLIER THAN MY SCHEDULED CLASS TIME?

Yes, please!  Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get "aproned" up and settled in.  If you are with a large group and have a lot of food/drink items to set up, we suggest you arrive about 30 minutes ahead of time.  We start on time as we need to consider everyone's schedule, including staff and the late hour of night classes.  If a class is delayed by 30+ minutes, it is still scheduled to end on time.  Paintings are created by your artist to take 2-3 hours to complete.  Some have enough detail and content that they take a full 3 hours.

I'M PLANNING TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE STUDIO.  CAN I DECORATE AND BRING CAKE?

DO YOU OFFER "PAINT MY PET"?

IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT I NEED TO BOOK A CLASS?

DO YOU BRING THE PAINTING EXPERIENCE TO OTHER VENUES OR HOME PARTIES?

ARE YOUR PAINTINGS FOR SALE AND DO YOU COMMISSION PAINTINGS?

Yes, you can arrive 30 minutes ahead of time to decorate and set up.  If you think you need additional time, let us know.  We love birthdays and any other occasion that requires a celebration!  How can we help?  You can bring cake and gifts to studio.  Relatives or others who are not painting are welcome to come celebrate with you!

We do bring the painting experience to other facilities such as corporate events, team building,  assisted living/patient care facilities, gated community paint nights, restaurant paint nights.....if you have something in mind, let  us know and we'll see what we can do.  Home parties is something that we've been discussing and may offer that in the future.

It's possible, yes.  Send us a picture or let us know what you're thinking.  If we can, we will create that sketch.  We may not paint our own for the studio but we will try to create what you want.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that things happen and we can't always follow through on our commitments, however, when you reserve your seat, we start preparing for you and your guests.  No refunds will be allowed, studio credit ONLY .  We require a 48 hour cancellation notice so that we can offer your seat to another customer.  Please leave a message if you are unable to reach us.  No shows will not be issued studio credit.   Groups of any size are required to inform us of cancellation one week in advance or forfeit your deposit and any prepayments.  Deposits on commissioned paintings will not be refunded if you change your mind.  Remember that if you have reserved a date and time for a special event, someone else may have also wanted that date/time but couldn't have it because you had already reserved it.  If you cancel last minute, that date/time is lost to that other group and the studio sits vacant.  We try to be fair to everyone.

Southern Palette reserves the right to cancel classes for unforseen circumstances.  Registrants will be notified prior to class and an alternative date will be offered.  If another date isn't possible, refunds will be processed.

Yes we do.  We try to offer Paint My Pet every other month.  If this interests you, text us a photo of your pet (one pet per canvas) and we'll see if the photo would offer a good sketch to really capture what you see in your pet.  Photos need to be submitted at least a week prior to a class.  You're welcome to submit them at any time for evaluation.  We want to get the sketch exactly right so they take awhile to do.

There's something special that I'd like to paint, is that possible?
